Jim Bridger & The Discovery of Yellowstone –Jim Bridger’s stories and travels helped uncover and preserve the natural wonders which became a part of Yellowstone National Park. This excellent wild west “living history” program was originally broadcast as an episode of “Cavalcade of America” on March 2, 1937.

Perseid Meteor Shower
The Perseid meteor shower is underway and should get even better over the next few nights, with a peak on August 12.
The best time to observe the Perseids is during the dark hours before dawn on the mornings of August 11-13. They can also be seen in the early evening hours and some are spectacular –streaking across the sky and lasting several seconds -but they are few and far between this time of night.
