Book And Bake Sale At The Townsend Library

METMLibrary_thumb

The Mary E. Tippitt Memorial Library, our local library in Townsend, is holding a Book and Bake sale this Friday, August 14, from 9am to 5pm.

You’ll find both new and used books at the sale and they’re usually priced from $.50 to $3.00.

A few of the books I’ve found at past sales include; a 1955 edition, in very good condition, of “Familiar Quotations” by John Bartlett; a hardcover edition of “Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible”, also in very good condition, and a new hardcover copy of “The New Way Things Work” by David Macauley.

The library is not a big library, so they don’t have a ton of books for sale, but they do have a good selection of both fiction and non-fiction to choose from.

If you go, don’t forget to pick up some goodies at the bake sale. We’re going to make…something, probably cow patties (you know, those yummy chocolate/oatmeal no-bakes), they’re sooo easy to make…and sooo good!

So, if you’re in the Townsend area, join us this Friday at the METM Library Book and Bake Sale for some good books and good treats!

Blessings,

Denese
