Free Classic Audio
Homeschool Radio Shows’ free program for this week is “The Bet” by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, a physician, major Russian short story writer and playwright.
“The Bet” tells the story of an impoverished music teacher who willingly spends fifteen years in solitary confinement to win a bet -a classic story and cautionary tale you will long remember. Originally aired on Family Theater in 1950.
Also included with this weeks’ radio program is an audio book reading of The Bet.

Jim Bridger & The Discovery of Yellowstone –Jim Bridger’s stories and travels helped uncover and preserve the natural wonders which became a part of Yellowstone National Park. This excellent wild west “living history” program was originally broadcast as an episode of “Cavalcade of America” on March 2, 1937.

Mary was the first person in the United States to be identified as a healthy carrier of typhoid fever. Over the course of her career as a cook, she is known to have infected 53 people, three of whom died from the disease.
