Early April Flowers
By Denese. Filed in East TN |After our long cold winter, all the wildflowers seem even more beautiful this year. Here’s what’s blooming right now in our corner of the Smokies:
Bloodroot
Toadshade Trillium
Wild Violet
Yellow Trillium
Wild Geranium
Dandelion
Dogwood Flower
Redbud Blooms
This one is not a flower, but it was pretty anyways:
Fern
Happy Spring!

Gorgeous! We are hoping to get up to the Blue Ridge one of these springs. There is a state park hotel on the Skyline Parkway which is suppose to be really nice as far as views and hiking opportunities…probably not as nice as the Smokies, but its closeby. : )

I haven’t been up on the Blue Ridge in ages -it’s so peaceful up there.
The Smokies are nice but sometimes they’re hard to enjoy because of all the tourists -it gets pretty crowded, especially in the summertime. We’re blessed to live where we do -we’re in the Smokies but not in the Park -I can stay home and be in the Smoky Mountains!
Glad you liked the pictures.
