Travel Alert: 441 Through the Great Smoky Mountains is Closed

As of 10:30am, 441 through the Smokies is closed due to ice and snow. For updated road closure information call (865) 436-1200.
It rained all night and turned to freezing rain, then snow this morning. We have a thin layer of ice and a dusting of snow here at 2100 feet and it’s still snowing, very light right now.
The forecast calls for snow throughout the day with only light accumulations, 1-5 inches.

But you never know what it will do around here, especially in March.
